Bunco...

Tonight I was invited to Bunco as a sub for my friend Amy's bunco group. I've played before but always with a bunch of uptight old ladies! Tonight was a great evening with pleasant women who were all having a GREAT time!

The abundance of chocolate wasn't a bad thing either... :)

I'm so grateful to have friends that love to have fun! YAY BUNCO!

Surviving President's Day

Oh my goodness! So my fabulous plan of- I'll take the kids to the park and we can have a fun day enjoying the weather- was SQUASHED with the rain and cold that came with the holiday. :(

So today was a day full of 3 very energetic children couped up... one of which just couldn't go 10 minutes without throwing a tantrum, biting someone or slamming a door... and she's the "GOOD" one!

To escape the craziness we went and got happy meals and new shoes for Mason. Then tried to rent a movie but didn't quite make it there without 2 of them falling asleep on the way... C'est la VIE!

Daddy is home and mommy gets a BREAK!! God Bless the good husband!

The battle for CATAN!

If you have never heard of Settlers of Catan you are missing out! It's a fun game of wit and strategy that you just can't stop playing!! We have some friends that we play with at least twice a month... sometimes twice a week!! We take turns at each others houses and bring the kids over in PJ's with a movie. They play and watch their movie and we "battle" for Catan... FUN FUN FUN!

We started with the orginal "Settlers of Catan" and also play "Seafarers of Catan" and "Cities and Knights" both expansions to original game. I don't know how the man that created these games came up with this concept but he is a genius!!

Settlers... if you don't have one... GET ONE!

The cakes...

So I LOVE to bake! Anything really but I love to do cakes! I try to be inventive and creative with my cake making. Over the past year I've been trying new shapes and sizes... moving away from the tradition rounds and rectangles. Well eat your heart out Ace of Cakes! Here comes the Momma of Cakes!

I can't believe that I have stepped into the rhelm of blogging!! I've always thought it was just a fad that would go away but I have come to learn that blogging is great way to just get it all out! So here I am.

I recently have been working on applications for Scrapping Design teams! I've applied to my LSS so keep your fingers crossed!
