I've got MAD Rockband skills!!

Oh yes!
Tonight hubby and I were rocking out together... you know to keep the relationship "happenin'" and Neil dared me to try a song on EXPERT! Now seriously... didn't think I'd make it through 1/10th of the song let along get through the whole thing.
Well not only did I get through the whole thing but I scored 96%!!!!

I wanted to call Bean... but decided it was too late (and I know you're reading this now Bean!)

Props to me for my MAD ROCKBAND SKILLS!!
Oh... and here's a picture to prove it! :)

The Flu...

TOTALLY SUCKS!! Yes I spent all last night and most of this morning watching my entire insides re-enter the earth's atmosphere out of my body. BLECH! (literally)
My sweet sweet sweet husband even came home from work early today to let me rest. I'm feeling quite a bit better and got some soup down so hopefully tomorrow I'll be up and around more. The things that makes me super sad is I was supposed to go to the temple tonight with my ward... but I decided to forego the uplifting evening to keep my yucky-yucks away from my church brothers and sisters. (yay for me? not really)

Anyhoo... back to bed for me!

Asperger Syndrome/ High Functioning Autism

This past week Mason had an appt with an behavioral disorder/autism specialist here in the valley. It was a great appt and opened our eyes to alot of things with Mason. Many we already knew about and observed and a few were new.
The main reason we took Mason to this doctor was a referal from our PCP to have an Autism/ OCD screening done.

Mason was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism. We've thought for quite a while that this might be the case but haven't had an "official" diagnosis as to date. The doctor gave us some great referrals on follow up psycological treatment and also sent a letter to the school to help set up some services there to help with OT and PT.

If you want to learn more about Asperger I found this information helpful.

Thank you for your support through all of this! I'm glad we finally have an answer and hope for a quick road to better social skills for Mason.

Rainy field trip today...

Today I went with Chloe's class to Wildlife Images. It was a pretty neat place! I had never been before and all the animals were very visable and willing to show the kids their "skills". Here are a few pics from the day. It was cold and pooring rain but thanks to my "being such a Mormon" (quoted from a friend who came too) we had plenty of umbrellas, extra sweatshirts and ponchos to go around. ;)
