DO NOT waste your money!

last night we went with our friends the Phillipson's to go see Indiana Jones... it was bad!.... I was REALLY bad! By the end of the movie I was rolling my eyes so much that I thought I'd be better off at home with the 3 crazy kids! It was just bad!
So this is my warning to all my blogging friends... wait for it come out on video! It's not worth the theater money!! :(

Phrases of a 3 year old...

I was stalking a scrapbooking message board that I'm a member of which I never do... I usually jump right in and chat... and Abby (my 3 year old) comes up to me and says:
"Mama... I'll give you 100 million dollars if you stop playing your computer"

I respond with... "well Abby where are you going to get 100 million dollars from?"

Her response was "from your purse"

Only from the mouths of babes... I would be more than happy if she could pull 100 million dollars out of my purse! :)

Cotton Candy...

So today I took my first "big" outing and went to the kids school to help pre-bag cotton candy for tomorrow's carnival... holy cow!! One of the machines was crazy and was literally spitting out cotton candy into the air. Kids of parent helpers were running around grabbing it out of the air by the handful... it was NUTS! I started just tying bags and then took over the blue machine for about half an hour... I came home COVERED in blue cotton candy... literally had a hair net of it! Fun times!

If you want a fun kid activity to come to tomorrow we have a GREAT carnival for all ages at Hoover Elementary School from 12-4. There's everything from cotton candy and pony rides to face painting and water balloon toss. You can even throw a pie at a teacher!!

I'm home!

I'm home!! I came home on Saturday afternoon. The surgery went well but my recovery was kind of rough. The first night I had too much pain medication and was hallucinating... NOT FUN! Then they had to put a catheter in... which I still have at home... NOT FUN!
But the hard times were made eaiser by visits and calls from friends and family. I'm glad that I had the procedure but I'm really excited to start reaping the rewards...

Making a list...

And checking it twice!!
When you know you'll be out of commission for a while it's always interesting trying to figure out exactly what you do everyday! I've been trying to make the "master list" for Neil so he knows where and when to have kids places, laundry day, etc. And it's hard to list it all... it's just part of my everyday routine!

So I've been making my list and checking it twice... hopefully the kids will not be naughty, mostly nice! I am looking forward to drugged sleep for 2 whole days... not so much the pain and surgery... mostly the rest!

24 hours and counting! :)

I love Target....

I just love that store! You can get anything... even a snack for the kids and it's a great little outing.... I know random! But hey I just love Target!
