UPDATE: Katie is making progress and is off sedation. They hope to have her off the ventilator by tomorrow evening. With no sedation she has become more aware of the gravity of the situation and was told this morning about the loss of her husband Ryan.
I can't even begin to imagine what emotions she is feeling right now! Her progress is nothing short of a miracle... please continue to pray for this wonderful family!

Thank you for the update. I don't even know her but have been thinking of her so much lately. I wondered when she would be told about her husband, I can't even imagine.. I try not to! Poor thing! Jeremy knows her parents and said he talked to her at church like two weeks ago so he's really freaked out by it also. I am just so sad for her!
I am visiting from Modern Molly Mormons and am very sad to hear about this family's tragedy. I am so sorry for your friend. I hope she has a lot of friends and family around her.
On a lighter note, congrats on all your ribbons!
